It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is here. Months fly by like moments, and decades pass like days. I'm trying to stay mindful of the gift that each day is, and in spite of any present hardship or sorrow, there are always far more things to be thankful for.

Sunshine after several days of rain and clouds.
Being in touch--even if only a text message--with my children.
A job that I enjoy going to with great co-workers.
My 90 year old mother who continues to enjoy life and good health.
Photographs of precious people and times.
Emails from my Russian friends.
More than anything, my relationship with my Heavenly Father who is aware of every breath I take and has them numbered till he embraces me physically.

Wow! I didn't realize how blessed I am. Blessings to you, also, my friends.
