Dr. David Jeremiah's website at TurningPoint.com has insightful, daily devotionals. Let me share a paragraph from today's message.
"When Jesus walked the earth, He was constantly surrounded by a multitude of people; but He knew that the most important relationship He could invest in was with His Father, for it was His voice that would lead and guide Him."
Today I asked one of my sons to pray with me to help me stay focused as I spent time with the Lord. Mike's prayer helped and I dug into the word, reading and re-reading several passages so I could gain a better understanding of God's ways and wisdom. It took a day while I was sick in bed to find the quiet I needed, so while my body is healing, my soul is also being strengthened through the most important relationship I can invest in.

God really does want us to spend time with Him ... and I've found He either allows sickness in my body or Anna's seizures to stop me in my busyness and focus on Him.
We're hard-headed, aren't we?

Bricks often work. Just wait for one!

A hopeful thought...when the bricks stop coming, it's because you've given in to the will of God. A peaceful place to be.
